Kid

Kid is the protagonist of Edited. Voltar from The League of Super Evil, Finn the Human from Adventure Time, Toon Link from The Legend of Zelda, and the Knights from Castle Crashers inspired Liam Sallis to create this loveable character.

Kid was born in a little village at the bottom of a mountain where Thundrake, the original 'boss' of the lands of Edited, relocated to very early in the story. He's always wanted to be a hero, and when he's mysteriously granted the devastating power of electricity and The Editor has begun to rule the lands in a dictatorship he sets off on a quest to take the lands back!

Appearance[]

Kid is quite short compared to most characters in Edited, and this makes the odds in threatening situations seem against him. However he is capable of fighting as well as wielding heavy equipment.

The helmet he wears allows him expressive facial expressions so he doesn't have to take it off.

Personality[]

Kid is strong-willed and slightly over-confident, particularly where he thought it would be a good idea to challenge Thundrake in order to protect his fellow villagers. His charisma enables him to befriend him instead and they bond over their hatred of The Editor. Something which may further define the character of Kid is that he has simple beliefs. This is from the picture about Sleepy Princess. Kid believes that to be an adventurer he must protect a princess, however the one he found was eternally asleep. The reason that he decided to stop protecting her and go on a quest to defeat The Editor is unknown.

Relationships[]

The oldest relationship is the one with his father, Althalos. Kid admires his father and even wants to be like him, but Althalos believes that Kid is not ready to be a knight or hero, and this is possibly the reason Kid is so determined to become a great hero.

Thundrake and Kid share an agree to disagree relationship. They only become friends due to Thundrake refusing to harm a child, and Kid having the power of electricity. Thundrake's disapproval of The Editor's bastardising of the laws of nature, and Kid's revolutionary heritage means their teaming up could very well be the end of The Editor.

Kid, in his adventure, becomes friends with Melissa, 38, and Relic as well as his Grandfather Smeltor.

Abilities and Powers[]

Kid has the power of electricity, the most powerful ability in Edited. The electric ability was originally supposed to be the last ability obtainable, but The Editor uses his manipulative glove to rearrange the lands, people and entities of the world.
